Rice Papers, Pigs, Tunnels, and Crickets

2/4/2017

Yes, second day was a day with rice papers, pigs, tunnels, and crickets! We started our day at a local farmer's house. We learned from a happy and smiling Vietnamese lady on how to make rice papers. She was a great teacher and the only English words that she uttered was, "Okay!" That meant she was happy with our rice paper making skill! Then we went outside and fed the pigs and piglets. Some of my tourists even posed for a photo with the hospitable mama pig! The next location to visit was Cu Chi Tunnels where we learned the history of the tunnels used during the Vietnam War more than 40 years ago. The last stop for the day was a cricket farm! No the cricket bat or game, mate. Yes, the insect that makes the loud chirping sound. In Vietnam, fried crispy crickets are a delicacy. I hope you guys enjoyed tasting them! Good on you mate!
