Ho Chi Minh City Shore Excursion

TOUR OVERVIEW
Commonly known as “Saigon”, Ho Chi Minh City is Vietnam’s largest city, home to over 14 million people and 10 million scooters! Although Hanoi is the capital city in the north, Ho Chi Minh City in the south functions as Vietnam’s leading economic and financial hub. The city has since risen from the devastation of the war period. We can still see well-preserved colonial buildings and war relics in the city. On the other hand, high-rise and modern buildings are making their presence felt. Although the city is chaotic with endless slow-moving traffic, the hustle and bustle do not affect the unique friendliness of the people. An easy greeting of hello in Vietnamese, “Xin Chào”, is sufficient to taste the local hospitality. Forget about shopping and must-see attractions for a while. Let me show you the real Saigon. 

PICK-UP POINT 

• At port gates of Phu My or Hiep Phuoc which is 90- and 45-minutes' drive to the city center respectively. If your cruise arrives at Nha Rong port, then it is around 10 minutes away the city center. 
• The tour guide and driver will greet you with a sign of your full name and a warm smile and take you for a brilliant day.

ITINERARY

• Our first stop is to explore small alleys and local wet market to experience local life. 
• Drive to Thien Hau pagoda in Chinatown, famous for its architecture. 
• Enjoy 40 minutes trishaw ride around colorful and busy markets. 
• Drive along a canal in District 7 to see the enormous contrast between the local stilt houses and new high-rise buildings.
• Drive back to downtown Ho Chi Minh City and visit one of the most famous museums, the War Remnant Museum. 
• Tour around the Dong Khoi area, which includes the General Post Office, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Rex Hotel, and the City Hall. The highlight is the former CIA headquarters, where the last American helicopter landed on the top for evacuation in the Fall of Saigon in 1975.
